Download our 19th Century Novel resource

21st September, 2015

As the new GCSE specifications require the study of 19th century novels by all students, teachers of English are looking for ways to bring these less-immediately accessible texts to life in the classroom, and film is an obvious choice.

We have partnered with the National Association for Teaching English (NATE) to produce a new resource centred around Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, and the 1999 film adaptation starring Patrick Stewart as Ebeneezer Scrooge. The resource also contains generic teaching approaches that can be applied across all 19th century texts.

Head to our resources catalogue to download the full resource.
