When the tiny, headstrong Kirikou is ready to be born, he demands: "Mother, bring me into the world" - and, in this wonderfully original animated film, he never loses his hunger for life. Kirikou may be tiny, but he is mighty, and his fellow villagers sing his praises as he helps them fix their problems. When the village is threatened by the evil sorceress Karaba, who has made all the men disappear, it is little Kirikou who is entrusted with the task of putting a stop to her wicked ways. Beautifully animated landscapes and folk songs bring this traditional African tale to life.

this film is really cute because kirikou was tiny through the whole film except the favorite bit was when kirikou hid under ground and took the sorceress gewls. at the end it was very surprising when kirikou fel in love with the sorceress

I loved the film. It was great and different to films today. It was awesome to see a film I've never watched before. I recommend it. CL

This film wasn't really the film for me. It had loads of detail. I liked the bit where Kirikou comes alive again. I didn't like the bit where the mum said Karaba ate Kirikou's dad. The part that confused me was why was Karaba doing this to the villagers? Even though this wasn't the film for me I still enjoyed it. KS

Kirikou and the sorceress is a great film and the sorceress tries to eat the children. Kirikou, a young baby sized character has to save them. I like this film because it shows little kids can be smart too. MB
