A minor horror classic, House of Wax stars Vincent Price as Professor Jarrod, the owner of a New York waxwork museum. When his business partner Burke sets the place on fire for the insurance money, Jarrod miraculously survives and, though badly disfigured, soon opens a new 'house of wax' boasting the most realistic, human-like models ever seen. At the same time, a masked killer is stalking the city then later stealing his victims' bodies from the morgue - but what on earth could he be using them for?

Are you looking for a family Halloween horror?! Then look no further because this brilliant fright-fest is perfect for a terrifying evening of horrors! Or is that just the what the trailers say. This film is centred around Professer Henry Jarrod (Vincent Price) an over enthusiastic artist focusing mostly on wax sculptures of historical figures, but when his museum burns to the ground he disappears for months! when he returns he opens a new museum with a house of horrors exhibit... his dark secret about the wax sculptures is discovered!... This film is entertaining enough but some of the acting skills are just completely, unlike the movie, horrifying! The plot line was very good and, if I'm honest, the FX weren't too bad either, but all of that was watered down by some annoying, arrogant woman prancing about with a silly annoying stage school giggle, hehehehe!!!!! Its a film I could watch again even though I was let down with most of the cast... Let's see what the 2004 versions got to offer...

This film is about a professor who owns a house of wax and in there are some of the most lifelike models ever seen, kind of like madam tusaudes. After the tradgady of his artwork being burnt down he needs to find a plan to get his artwork back up and running again. Even if it means taking other peoples lives....

The running time of this film is 90 minuets and it was made in 1953. The director is Andre De Toth and the main cast is Vincent Price, Frank Lovejoy, Carolyn Jones, Roy Roberts and Phyllis Kirk.

This thrilling horror gets a rating of 5/10 because I don't doubt that it I a good film but some parts of it just don't make sense to me or are a little boring. Most of this film though had me hanging on the edge of me seat wondering what was going to happen next.
