You've probably heard people refer to 'Woodstock' but not really known much about it. This intimate and vibrant documentary vividly captures the legendary 1969 American rock festival, during which hordes of music fans lost their clothes and social inhibitions while partying in muddy, upstate New York fields. The artists that performed - including The Who and Jimi Hendrix - may not be your thing, while some of the viewpoints on camera perhaps seem funny and dated. But the film is an important snapshot of an era, that tells us more about Sixties youth than any history book could.
