Let’s be honest - the movies aren’t short on superheroes of all shapes and sizes. But you may not have come across one like Shoeshine before – because he’s a good-natured if slightly unlucky beagle, who works for the police sniffing out bombs. Or, to be more precise, he used to work for them before he lost his job, and then “dognapped” by a scientist who exposed him to a mysterious substance that turned him into Underdog – a beagle with super powers! Now, he spends his days with a 12 year old called Jack fighting crime – and trying to save the world from the same scientist who caused his transformation. This is a likeable and sweet-natured canine yarn that will appeal to our younger members.
