Set in 1910, and inspired by a true story, this is a tale of pride, justice and truth. Young Ronnie Winslow is expelled from his military school for stealing - but tells his father Arthur that he didn’t do it. To prove a point, Arthur pursues the case through the courts, adamant that Ronnie is innocent. Proceedings drag on and on, disrupting the lives of the entire family - particularly daughter Catherine, whose romantic life grows very complicated. As the fight takes over their lives, the family begins to wonder if justice is worth the price they must pay.

Fascinating facts
An earlier movie version of The Winslow Boy was made in 1948. Neil North, the actor who played Ronnie in that film, also appears here as the First Lord of the Admiralty.
