When God-fearing police sergeant Neil Howie travels to a remote Scottish island to investigate the disappearance of a young girl, he unwittingly uncovers a dark secret. Beneath their kooky exteriors, the inhabitants are members of a fanatical pagan cult who practice bizarre rituals in the belief that it will bring them a plentiful harvest. Even worse, they have elaborate and terrifying plans for their interfering visitor. While some of the film's theatrics may seem dated compared with modern horror movies, this sinister thriller remains an influential classic of British cinema.

I thought it was funny, when he punch the two women. I thought is was a good film to watch. But the ending was weird. This was the modern film with Nicholas Cage.

I think this film was no good. The storyline was mucked up.I have watched many Nicholas Cage movies and this was his worsT! There were a couple of funny bits when he punched people for different reasons and that’s about it.
