At first, Super Size Me sounds more like a prank than the idea for a movie. Film-maker Morgan Spurlock wondered what would happen if he lived on nothing but food from McDonalds for 30 days - and so he did just that. Eating burgers, fries, shakes three times a day, every day, in the effort to discover what that kind of diet would do to him, he finds the answer far more shocking than he or anyone else expected. Although the film of his experiment is often very funny, it also makes disturbing viewing - especially for anyone who loves fast food!

Supersize me is basically a documentary to show how bad fast food can be for a person and what it can do to your body. I think it’s great for people to watch because it helps you to understand more about how many people are abusing their bodies without realising it. The man who carried out this experiment was very healthy at the beginning but throughout the film you can see how he gains weight and his sugar levels rise etc. I really enjoyed it and recommend that more people watch it to get a better understanding of healthy eating today.

I don’t know what to say about this one. This was more like a documentary about McDonalds and how fat someone can get in a month. It was disgusting when we saw the liposuction thing. It would put me off fast food!
Fascinating facts
Morgan Spurlock shot 250 hours of footage. Only 0.66% was used for the final cut.
