American “new wave” band Talking Heads didn’t just go on stage and play live when they were one of the biggest groups in the world – they put on a complete show, with back-projections, dancing, costume changes and the like. This superb film has often been described as the best concert movie ever made, brilliantly capturing their performance, and resulting in the perfect mix of music and cinema. It starts simply, with only singer David Byrne on stage for the song Psycho Killer - but gradually the other band members and musicians are introduced, and the energy and enthusiasm onstage (and off) builds and builds.
