Henry is a thoroughly nice chap who, like a lot of thoroughly nice chaps, spends his time getting constantly outwitted. He’s the kind of sucker that no dodgy second-hand car dealer can resist. Fed up with losing out in life and love, he heads off to the “College of Lifemanship”, where they teach a range of cunning tactics to give you an unfair advantage over your rivals - and women. Three of Britain’s greatest comedy actors get to play their classic roles - the hapless innocent (Ian Carmichael starring as Henry), the smirking cad (played brilliantly by Terry-Thomas) and the sinister teacher (the much-loved Alistair Sim).
