The crew on martial arts star/director Jackie Chan's Police Story jokingly nicknamed the production Glass Story, such was the crashing, smashing and splintering on display. Harder edged than some of his more purely slapstick outings, here Chan plays a straight-arrow cop battling corruption to put away a ruthless drug dealer and (chock full as it is with amazing stunts, crunching fight sequences and plenty of humour) this is one of the irrepressible, seemingly indestructible star's best.
