All that Neal Page wants to do is to get home to Chicago. But when his flight from New York is cancelled due to bad weather, all other attempts to get home fail thanks to crazy cab drivers, trains that break down, and cars that catch on fire. And to make matters worse a buffoon called Del is also stranded - and a little too keen to accompany Neal on his journey. Starring the hilarious Steve Martin and John Candy as the unlucky travellers.

As the plot of Planes, Trains and Automobiles depends on making the forms of transport featured look nightmarish and unreliable, no real airline, train company or car rental agency was willing to be featured in it.
