A pair of mismatched police officers create havoc in this explosively funny British action comedy from the director and stars of Shaun of the Dead. London-based supercop Nicholas Angel (played by Simon Pegg) is forced to swap high-speed pursuits for village fayres when his jealous bosses exile him to the crime-free country town of Sandford. Teamed up with a wide-eyed young constable, it looks as though Angel’s high-octane days are over until he uncovers a sinister conspiracy involving murder, arson, corruption and competitive flower arranging.

hello fellow movie watchers! I have only seen half this film and so I cant really give you much info on it. This story is based in modern day britain and has on of the two most funniest actors ever! The one on the left is Simon pegg but i dont know which one the one on the right is called. I really reccomend this film to people who like action AND also comedy at the same time - apart from their other films, there are not many movies lke this one. It is truely a classic.

Legendary film, i’ve watched it over 10 times and each time it’s just as good as the last time. I notice new things which i didn’t the last time. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are a great duo and they crack me up throughout most of the film and Bill Bailey - the legend that he is - plays a brilliant custody sergeant, it took me a few views to work out that he has different hair to the other sergeant - also played by him.

Overall a brilliant film, another great from the makers of Shaun of the Dead.

Will definately be watching it again.

I understand why you guys enjoyed the film, but it was just too morose for me.
I know that both Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz had quite depressing themes and plots i.e. zombies eating their way to world domination and a massacre of a whole village of OAP’s.
However, SOTD just had something that Hot Fuzz didn’t. Maybe it’s just personal preference, but I would argue that Shaun was better.
I am a fan of both Pegg and Frost, but I felt like my hard earned £8.50 was put to waste with this.
But you might enjoy it!

Fascinating facts

The location of Hot Fuzz, Sandford, is also the name of the town used as the setting for all British police training videos.
