When they get sacked from their university jobs investigating the strange and supernatural, hapless trio Venkman, Stantz and Spengler set up a company that offers to deal with the ghosts and ghouls that lurk in New York’s apartments and offices. And although business is slack at first, it soon turns out that there is important work for them to do - important and terrifying! This influential comedy mixes big special effects scenes with sharp dialogue, to result in a movie still as hilarious now as it was when it was made back in the 1980s.

Ghost Busters is a brilliant film for the whole family. It has loads of laughs and some scary moments for the minors. My favorite bit was when they where fighting the giant marshmellow man and when they all cross streams. The soundtrack got everyone singing. A brilliant bit was when the zombie cab driver came and looked rearly realistik.

I liked the part when the zombie driver came to life and he looked really realistic. The theme tune came on and every on started singing.

Fascinating facts

Originally, Ghostbusters was intended to be set in the future, when the job would be regarded as being as normal as a fireman - however, once the film-makers realised how expensive the movie would be to produce, they brought the story back to the 1980s!
