An eerie, beautiful science fiction fairy tale, AI is set in America in the distant future, where the flourishing economy is based on the production of Mechas, humanoid robots. When Mechas are developed with the ability to love, Henry brings one home to his wife Monica, to comfort her when their son is left in a coma. Initially horrified, she comes to love the Mecha they call David, but when their son wakes she abandons him. Cast out into the world, David teams up with Gigolo Joe and goes in search of the Blue Fairy, in the hopes that she can turn him into a real boy as she did Pinocchio.

AI: The film was actually pretty good. It had a good plot. It is also my sort of film, i like the sci-fi theme of a film. I enjoyed this film very much and would recommend it to those who like sci-fi films

The film AI was completly different that what i expected. i only knew that it was a sci-fi, and thats all. i was suprised to see jude law, as hes usualy in romantic love films, but he was funny in the role he played as a “robo-pimp”. A good film with a sad but good ending.

AI is a very good film. Although I thought it was a very long film. Other than that I really enjoyed it.

I heard alot about this film but when i actually saw it i was quite disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, i was entertained and it did have its moments of glory.
But overall the film lacked that ingenius spark which makes films great.
In a nutshell, the story line seems to of been literally dreamt by a 5 year old watching too much sci-fi.
Fascinating facts
Stanley Kubrick had spent over ten years working on ideas for AI before his death in 1999 – by which time he had already contacted Steven Spielberg about potentially directing the film.
Director Steven Spielberg used the water-filled set from The Perfect Storm (2000) for the flooded world of the future in this movie.
