Taking place in the fearsome, wintry area of Kurdistan near the border with Iran, this moving film portrays a family of five brothers and sisters trying to look after themselves after they are left as orphans. Their plight is made even more complicated and heart-breaking by their brother Madi desperately needing an operation to save his life, one which will cost a huge amount of money - money his elder brother Ayoub is determined to find. This film has a huge amount of heart - but doesn't shy away from the harshness of the world lived in by its characters.
