One of the greatest of all movie musicals, this stars Judy Garland as Esther Blodgett, a young dancer, singer and actress hoping to hit the big time. She’s befriended by Norman Maine (James Mason), a once successful actor whose career is on the skids due to his alcoholism. The pair fall in love, but as Esther (who renames herself Vicki Lester) continues to climb the showbiz ladder, Norman falls further behind. This is a powerful, human story about success and failure, and the heartlessness of the Hollywood system.

This film is a 1954 musical about a man (Norman Maine) who is a brilliant actor and very popular, also about a lady (Esther Blodgett) played by Judy Garland who is in a band.
The story is about lots of things but the main thing is about a singer who has taken years to get where she is but she?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s struggling then a famous actor promised her she will be a star! She becomes famous and he loses fame! Basically fame isn?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢t all it?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s known to be! That?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s what the film is about.
I think this film is sad and aimed at adults. I think it is still suitable for younger people!
I really liked this film but thought it was a bit long for my liking I got a bit bored in it then it got really good again and I got back into it again! I would rate it 4 stars as, if it was a bit shorter it would be a little more appealing but apart from that it was truly excellent!
