Manufactured Landscapes is a movie about photographer Edward Burtynsky, filmed as he travels around China taking his distinctively huge "large-scale" photographs of the country and the transformations that it has seen in recent years. Factories, mines, recycling facilities, vast dams and the fast-changing streets of Shanghai are among Burtynsky's subjects. The images alone are amazing - and the story of how they come to be made is just as absorbing.
