A top film director flees to a spa resort because he can't deal with the pressure of coming up with another hit. Unfortunately for him, while he's there he's tracked down by his producer, his mistress and his wife - and also trapped by strange dreams and vivid memories of his past. Legendary Italian director Federico Fellini was obviously dipping into his own fears here - but he was crafty enough to make sure his story took the viewer by surprise, resulting in a movie that's never less than enthralling. In Italian, with English subtitles.
