A classic ghost story originally written by MR James. An archaeologist goes to Norfolk on the trail of three ancient crowns that were once supposed to have protected the coast from invasion - two are lost forever, but one might still exist in the area. The man who reportedly watched over it is dead, but something still seems to be keeping nosy outsiders away. A marvellously creepy tale, told simply and mostly in daylight, rather than using the usual trick of relying on darkness for chills.

A great film no matter what anybody tells you. It's based around an archaeologist who goes looking for an ancient object that guarded the coast from invasion. A thrilling film with frightening scenes that don't rely on night to get cheap scares. Well done Lawrence. 5 stars

A warning for the curios is a film about a archeologist who is very curios and likes to find out about mysteries. For a 1972 film the quality of the picture was poor and it was not scary but the thing that was good about it was the music. It was really spooky but it would of been really good if the movie was actually scary itself.
