The strict food rationing imposed in Britain during World War II actually got worse after the fighting was over, and this vintage comedy comes from that time. The residents of Pimlico in London stumble on ancient documents that let them claim the area still belongs to the Duchy of Burgundy in France - a discovery that means they can eat all the food they want and keep the pubs open all day and night! The result is a charming celebration of a very "British" kind of rebellion.

Passport to Pimlico was made in 1949 so it was in black and white.
The film is based in Pimlico town in London during wartime.
One day in Pimlico a group of mischievous boys were messing about
with a large wheel when suddenly, it slips away from there grasps and
went tumbling for an unexploded bomb. After the bomb exploded sparkling
gold treasure was discovered in the centre of the crater however something else
found something which would change Pimlico forever...
I found this film to be slow and very old-fashioned and I would not recommend
    this to others.
