Possibly the blackest of the famous "Ealing comedies" that lit up British cinema in the 1940s and 50s, Kind Hearts and Coronets is still most renowned for the astonishing lead performance of star Alec Guinness. In the story of an ambitious young man who embarks on a series of murders to secure a title and a family fortune, Guinness takes no less than eight different roles, subtly altering his performance and appearance for each family member. The result is a masterclass in great acting - and a darkly hilarious movie to boot.

The way that Louis Mazzini decides to have is revenge on the D'Ascoyne family so he could become the Duke of Chalfont.was interesting and funny. I liked how Alec Guiness played eight different characters in the D'Ascoyne family, mostly men and one woman.

This film was brilliant, it was about a mass murderer who goes out to murder his whole family in favour of his dear mother who married a opra singer. They are poor and go to the family for help, but the family of dukes just ignore them, soon his mother dies and so her son takes his revenge. This film was amazing although it was in black and white it felt as though it was in colour.
I gave this film a 4 star because the sound quality wasn't great and some of the people souned a bit muffeled. I would recomend this film to 10 year olds to adults because it is quite romantic and yougsters might not understand it.
