This hugely popular British comedy follows the fortunes of a group of former steel workers in Sheffield. With no jobs and no money, the men think they don't have much hope for the future - but when two of them discover just how popular a male strip show can be, they come up with a crazy plan to start up their own. They may just be normal blokes, and they might not really have the moves - but with a bit of practice and a lot of nerve they might just be able to crack it!

This film is the best comedy of all time! You have to see this movie! If you don't you are missing out on incontrovertibly the most fantastic comedic film of all time. Out of 10 if I was to rate it I would obviously give it 10!

This film is really funny . The style is really old fashioned and I like it when the old man does a really funny dance to music! I'd give it an 8/10

If you're studying British Comedy and you want to look into cultural context and social significance this is just perfect. Not as raw as Ken Loach films, this offers a softer side to industrial failure and decline in Britain. Robert Carlyle is always a favourite since Hamish Macduff hit the TV screens all those years ago and he's just such a lovable rogue in this fabulous feature too. Hilarity all round, watching success come of a bizarre and unbelievable plan to make money like the Chippendales do. Nothing like the Chippendales, but every bit as entertaining. Genuinely recommend this!

When I first looked at this film, I thought it was going to be a very amateur based old film which would not really appeal to me but after watching the first five mintues I found it very funny and saw that stereotypes of the men were being used to create a comedy based appeal to the people watching. Overall I found the film based on a strange but very funny storyline and I would probably watch it again.
