Don't expect a big chunk of Chaucer here - although there are quotes from the 14th century English writer's work, this isn't an adaptation of one of his stories. It is, however, about an oddly assorted group travelling like pilgrims through the Kent countryside - only the backdrop is World War II, and British parents are worried about their daughters getting swept off their feet by American troops. It's an unusual film, one that makes rural England look and seem both stranger and more beautiful than you could ever imagine.

Me myself have never seen this film, but it looks quite good. It gives you alot of history I presume but I would definitely reccomend this film to anyone even though I haven't seen it.
