As "civilisation" comes ever closer to their idyllic forest home, a group of mischievous Japanese raccoons try to scare the approaching humans away. But they soon discover that humans are not their only rivals in the struggle for their age-old territory. A charming comedy from the home of Japanese anime, Studio Ghibli, that offers a unique window into Japanese folklore as its unlikely heroes fight fearlessly against the odds.
