Movie mogul... record-breaking aviation enthusiast... playboy companion to the 1930s' most beautiful movie stars... believe it or not, Howard Hughes was all of these things, and here Leonardo di Caprio brings him to life in Martin Scorsese's ode to the Golden Age of cinema. We follow Hughes as he reaches for every (seemingly) impossible dream, from shooting the most expensive film, to building the world's biggest plane, whilst struggling against his tragic obsessive-compulsive disorder. A compelling and fascinating true story told on an epic scale with a big helping of old-school Hollywood glamour.

Watched this film for the first time last night and in all honesty i loved it, it gripped me with the poweful storyline of Howard Hughes, Cate Blanchett was surperb as Katherine Hepburn and deservedly won the oscar for best supporting actress but how Leonardo Di Caprio did not win the oscar for best actor i do not know, i feel like his performance in The Aviator was the best and still is the best performance he has ever given, the effort he put in to creating Howard Hughes was brilliant, one of my favourite movies made by my idol Martin Scorsese. Must See.
