Bringing to life the much-loved story by British poet Ted Hughes, The Iron Giant takes place in a quiet American town in the 1960s. The tale begins when a young boy named Hogarth follows a trail of huge footprints leading from his house into the woods - and finds an iron giant from space! Instantly the two form a firm friendship, and when the army try and destroy this enormous visitor, Hogarth does everything he can to protect his giant pal. Beautifully animated, this is a film with lots of wit and a huge amount of heart.

At the start I thought that the iron giant was going to be bad. I thought the iron giant wasnt going to join back together like that. I know that the iron giant wasnt going to die.

This film is about a boy called Hogarth who finds a Iron giant. They have lots of fun but they have to make sure that no one finds out about the giant. But its really hard to keep it a secret when it starts to eat peoples cars!!! I loved this film.It was really heartwarming and funny.

I like the Iron Giant because the Iron Giant can not die.The villagers think he is a villian and try to kill him but can't. Hogarth is the hero.

The iron giant was one of the best movies I ever watched. At the start I did not know what would happen until we watched all of it. I thought some bits were sad and some was funny. I did not like the man who came to Hogarth's house. I thought he was bad when he set the bomb and then the iron giant saved them all. When he said to Hogarth you stay I will go at the start. Hogarth said that to him at the start when they became friends. when Hogarth was going home the iron giant kept on following him and Hogarth said you stay, I will go.

This was and exciting film. Because there was a man out fishing and he seen something coming out of the sky and it went in to the sea but then it came up from the sea and the man turned and headed stright for shore.Hogarth was at the restruant with his mum but his mum said go home and she said no scare movies but bed by eight oclock. Tis was the best film ever

The Iron Giant was an exciting, heartwarming film. With mysteries that we will never find out like the Iron Giants origin and why does he have to eat metal? But at least it had a happy ending.
