Bringing to life the much-loved story by British poet Ted Hughes, The Iron Giant takes place in a quiet American town in the 1960s. The tale begins when a young boy named Hogarth follows a trail of huge footprints leading from his house into the woods - and finds an iron giant from space! Instantly the two form a firm friendship, and when the army try and destroy this enormous visitor, Hogarth does everything he can to protect his giant pal. Beautifully animated, this is a film with lots of wit and a huge amount of heart.

The film the Iron giant was brilliant. I loved the plot and the characters were hilarious! I would rate this film a 5 stars as it had a plot twist and a very funny main character. Hogarth a little scamp with a big heart grips us and left us hanging off the end of our seats.

I would recommend this film for children aged 8 plus as it is a little violent with bombs , guns and tanks. I don't want to spoil it but we go for a showdown GIANT VS ARMY who will win watch this film to find out!

But after all the violence we settle down for some emotion. Some sadness and a little bit of heart warming love.

I rated this film a 4 stars because I thought that it could of been better by
1.it could of used actors and made it a real film
2.it could of made an ending that isn't the same ending as nearly every cartoon move
the reasons I liked it was the action and the fact that superman was the robot .
I would recommend this film to cartoon character lovers and people who like super heroes, hunting and stealthy movement to travel.
