Bringing to life the much-loved story by British poet Ted Hughes, The Iron Giant takes place in a quiet American town in the 1960s. The tale begins when a young boy named Hogarth follows a trail of huge footprints leading from his house into the woods - and finds an iron giant from space! Instantly the two form a firm friendship, and when the army try and destroy this enormous visitor, Hogarth does everything he can to protect his giant pal. Beautifully animated, this is a film with lots of wit and a huge amount of heart.

This film is for 5-10 year old boys. I didn't enjoy this film because it didn't really go anywhere. I have watched it a few times before but never really got the point. I recommend this film if you are a boy, but I don't recommend this movie if you are a girl.

I thought this film was great.I liked the part when the giant was hiding in between all the iron.I thought the funnest part was when the little boy was standing beside the giant it was funny because of how big the giant was and how small the boy was.I would love to watch this film again so I could remember all the good parts.

Hogarth is very bold-hearted as he set of on his quest to make sure the evil businessman does not find out about the Iron Giant (Iron man.)
