Bringing to life the much-loved story by British poet Ted Hughes, The Iron Giant takes place in a quiet American town in the 1960s. The tale begins when a young boy named Hogarth follows a trail of huge footprints leading from his house into the woods - and finds an iron giant from space! Instantly the two form a firm friendship, and when the army try and destroy this enormous visitor, Hogarth does everything he can to protect his giant pal. Beautifully animated, this is a film with lots of wit and a huge amount of heart.

I loved this film. I would recommend this film. This is a good animated film. Its for all the family you should really watch it. The cast are Jennifer Aniston, Harry Connick jr, Vin Diesel, Christopher McDonald and Eli marienthal.

I would give this 5 stars because i haven't seen a film with something real made out of metal or iron.

When I first watched it I thought it wouldn't be so good, but when I watched more it started getting interesting. There are some quite scary parts, some good parts and it isn't really like the book.

A robot crashes onto Earth and meets a little boy called Hogarth who teaches him how not to be a weapon. In the meantime the soldiers are searching for the giant and think he's a monster....

The message in the film is don't judge a person by their looks.

This was one of the best films I have ever watched it was so breath taking as well as being sad. I most of all love the giant for making such a big decision it made me almost cry . My heart was pumped by the magnificence of this whole story. Happily I would recommend this to both adults and children because its a family movie witch will turn you from sad to happy on any bad day. My favourite part was when the giant splashed into the water and made a big flood that spread . It also says how peace can be better than war . would you like to be watching that movie?

I gave this cartoon 5 stars because it' s funny and action packed because the army was firing at the iron giant and which was very freatful of al his lasers and guns around him. My favourite part was when the iron giant was copying the kid and the iron giant is really creative helping the man to make stuff.
