Bringing to life the much-loved story by British poet Ted Hughes, The Iron Giant takes place in a quiet American town in the 1960s. The tale begins when a young boy named Hogarth follows a trail of huge footprints leading from his house into the woods - and finds an iron giant from space! Instantly the two form a firm friendship, and when the army try and destroy this enormous visitor, Hogarth does everything he can to protect his giant pal. Beautifully animated, this is a film with lots of wit and a huge amount of heart.

I like the film the iron giant because it talkes about a tall metal robot giant who is toght to be like a human. the iron giant is thought to be a evil bad robot but he is not he is actualy very kind iron giant .a small boy called hogarth is best friends with the giant so he realy cares about the end the evil police detective find out about the iron giant and tryes to hurt him.the animation is very old and dated. The mucic is a bit dramatic and scary in the film.the main charecters are the iron giant and hogarth who become the bestest best friends. personly i would give the film posibly five (5) stars.

The iron giant was a great film as the characters had funny reactions to things and the end was very creepy the iron giant actualy flew through the sky. The iron giant is a great artist. There was a detective called kent masley and he tries to destroy hogarth and the iron giants friendship. The iron giant dressed up like superman but the film has a meaning the you can be what you want to be and i do give this film a 4 out of 5 as the quality is bad animation as the film was released in 1999

I am not giving this film 5 stars because it is a very sad film, especially at the end, so I am giving it 4 stars. The main character is the Iron Giant who is very defensive when he gets threatened. The hero is the Iron Giant because he saves everyone from the bomb but luckily he can reassemble all his parts, but does he die or not?

This film was very sad but at some points boring because of the talks. The best part is when the giant saves everyone from the bomb.
