A powerful film that proves that children can be heroes too. In 1930s Australia, children born to mixed race parents were often taken from their Aboriginal mothers by the state to be brought up working as servants for white families. And that is the fate which awaits the half-Aboriginal Molly Craig, her cousin and younger sister after they are sent to a re-settlement cap. But Molly and the other two girls escape and attempt to return to their real home - heading for the 1500 mile long rabbit-proof fence that will finally lead them back where they belong. Partially voiced in Aboriginal, subtitles in English.

Rabbit proof fence was really good even though it was scary.
I hated the fact that they had racists in it.
The theme of it was racism, but there was a lot of segregation between the aborignals and the whites.
Im glad that we dont live like this anymore and that we are sharing the country with other people!

This is a film about 3 aboriginal girls and they get taken away from there parents because they had white fathers. Their mother tried to fight for them, but the man was to strong and took them to a camp where they would live until their descendants eventually were white, But they didn't like it there so when everyone else had gone to school. They were supposed to stay behind to take out the bucket and as they were taking out the bucket. The oldest one Molly wants to run away to get back to their mother. So they talk to a lady who gives them food and directions and then they find and follow the fence. Then Gracie gives up and walks another way. Then Molly realises she has to get Gracie back, Just as she starts to run towards Gracie. The child catcher captures her and take her away. So it was just Molly and Daisy left alone. They then find the fence and follow the fence home to get to their mother and then they hide in the desert. A great film, 93 minutes of pure mind melting desperation

'Rabbit-Proof Fence' is a film about the aborigines of australia. It shows the conditions that they live in and how the white people took away the half-caste children from the mothers. I find this very racial. Molly (played by Everlyn Sampi), Daisy (played by Tiana Sansbury) and Gracie (played by Laura Monaghan) were taken to a camp where they would learn to be domestic staff. But they leave and try to get back to their home in Jigalog. This really shows the bond between the mother and daughters aswell as their cousin Gracie. This is a superb film. I would recommend to anyone that would enjoy this genre. 89 minutes of amazment all based on a true story.

Rabbit proof fence is a true story about three aboriginal girls. Molly (Everlyn Sampi),Gracie (Laura Monaghan) and Daisy (Tianna Sansbury). In the 1930's Molly, Gracie and Daisy get taken to a childrens home because they are half caste (Mixed race) .They escape from the childrens home and the film shows how they never give up and just keep pushing on to get back to there home Jigalog walking 1200 miles across Austrailia . Phillip Noyce (The Director) I think shows the emotions of the three girls as they push on really well. This is an amazing film . WATCH IT.
