One lovely summer in Yorkshire, 16-year-old Mona meets posh Tamsin, and their friendship turns into something deeper. But there are many problems that face them, quite apart from being two girls in love - there's Mona's stern born-again (and ex-criminal) brother, and Tamsin's problems telling the truth. Can love really get us through the difficult times? A spot-on look at the awkwardness and joy of first love, with England filmed in a way that you rarely see.

    my summer of love was a strange film with a lot going on in the story i think it sad in moments happy in others also very tense in some but it did shock me in the end where there was a big twist which was a bit of a shock but over all the work on the film was great
