A man goes to the seaside on holiday - that's the basic plot of this comedy , but from that simple idea, this supremely inventive almost-wordless film spins out dozens of elaborate visual jokes. No-one with a sense of humour would be able to keep a straight face as Hulot tries to paint a kayak that keeps drifting out to sea, winds up right in the middle of a funeral with his flat car tire mistaken for a wreath, and sets off a shed full of fireworks with his pipe.

Voiced in FRENCH, Subtitles in ENGLISH.

I have gave this film two stars because I didn 't understand the plot. It is a black and white french film from the creators of Mr Bean.It starts of with a batterd old car making its way on holiday, driving that car is Hulot is a strange man who gets up to loads of mischeif while he is on holiday he just happens to end up in a shed full of fireworks! Watch this film to get up to moer mischief with Hulot.

I gave it 1 star because I didn't understand the plot and I got bored of the music. This is a black and white french film. The music is mainly smooth jazz. It starts off with a broken car riding up the street. It's starts very slow. This is where Mr Bean got his ideas from. Mr Hulot goes on a holiday at a seaside resort. He meets a beautiful girl who was staying at the seaside resort as well. She goes down to the beach, she puts her swiming costume on and walks into the sea. All the men stop and stare. In the evening the pretty woman watches the children play on the sand. The next day Mr Hulot kicks someone up the bottom when they were taking a picture. Mr Hulot pretended that it wasn't him who kicked them. Meanwhile a mans boat snaps in half and lands on top of him, so it looks like a crocodile. That made everybody scream and run. Later that day Mr Hulot's inner tube got covered in leaves and it got mistaken for a reef. The next day Mr Hulot and the pretty lady played tennis and Mr Hulot won. In the afternoon, Mr Hulot went to the pretty ladies hotel, he recks the hotel room then he leaves. Later that evening a white horse gets loose.
If you want to know more, watch NOW!!!

I thought this was boring but it was still a bit funny. It was very slow at the start, there were not much Decalog in it. i would not watch this again this is not really my thing that is why i would give it 3 stars.
    It had enjoyable music.
