A much-loved family classic, this endearing story introduces to us George Bailey, who one Christmas Eve decides that his life is a failure - he faces bankruptcy, arrest and imprisonment. George, however, has spent a lifetime putting others first, and before he takes any rash action, angel Clarence is sent down to earth to show him how his good deeds have done so much for others - and how much worse the world would be had George never lived.

I really enjoyed this film. I liked the way that different story lines, from other christmas films, were put into this film. My favourite part of this film was the ending, but I enjoyed all of it! I would recommend this film to all ages as it is a good family film. This is a brilliant Christmas film and I enjoyed watching it.

It’s a Wonderful Life is a very emotional feel good film.
A Christmas film about angels coming to earth with many values to be learnt.
I found this film very complicated and long.I can see why this is a classic and a family
favourite but once is enough for me this Christmas.
    “MERRY CHRISTMAS!” yelled George Bailey.

I thought it was a good film considering it was made in 1946 and after a few minutes you forget it is even in black and white. However as the film progressed I did start to find it slightly predictable. I did like the christmas theme to it and i loved the ending though.

I found this film quite hard to get into at first and at the beginning I was quite disappointed but as the film went on I really started to get into it and enjoy It's a Wonderful Life a lot more. I thought it had a lovely ending and was a great Christmas film. I thought at first with the film being a black and white movie that I wouldn't enjoy it as much and it would be to old fashioned but I was really surprised that it didn't alter the film at all and if anything it made you appreciate which generation this film was made and concentrate a lot more.
I would definitely recommend this film but I would say for children no younger than my age as it was quite a long film and also older children would appreciate it much more. But, I would definitely recommend it to older children and adults too.
