Fighting aliens is all in a day's work for the cast of famous TV sci-fi show Galaxy Quest - actors pretending to be aliens, that is. Then one day the crew of the starship (who all appear to hate each other off-screen) find their fictional job has suddenly become real - and they have a crisis to deal with many light years from Earth. A clever, laugh-out-loud comedy that makes fun of classic sci-fi shows, but has much more to offer than just jokes about clingy costumes and pointy ears.

I think this is a really good film and I liked the bit where the girl alien kissed one of the Galaxy Quest people, but my favourite bit was where there was this big dog and a man pressed a button and the dog exploded and covered one of the aliens with his guts! This is probably one of the best films I've seen at Film Club.

I absolutely love this film. It has such a great mix of adventure and comedy, Tim Allen was so good at playing Commander Taggart. The idea of a group of actors having a reunion and then actually going on their ship to fight off galactic villains was so original. I think that my favorite part has to be when Sigourney weaver annoys everyone by repeating the computer. I feel the way that they use actors to act their part is (in the words of the Italians) "Perfectomendo!" Overall the characters (good and bad) were brilliant, as much as the story line. All the sets were amazing! The only fault i could see is when Commander Taggart (Tim Allen) and the rest of the crew of the Protector are shot by Sarris (villain) and so he fires the Omega 13. Now the Omega 13 rewrites time back 13 seconds previous but the time it takes for Commader Taggart to fire and how long the Omega 13 rewrites time is wrong, the Omega 13 would bring them back to just after Sarris starts shooting. But otherwise this is a brilliant film and i thoroughly recommend watching this film.

At the start of Galaxy Quest I didn't think it was very good. However, when we got into it, it started to get much better because when Jason got into the space ship, it was just like the one in his movie. My favourite character is probably Jason because he's funny. I like this movie because it's exciting and adventurous

This is a daring film about actors seeing
the true meaning of being in a real space
crew and about another race of creatures
and also learning to face their fears and
battle evil. My favourite part was when the
main character got trapped on another
plan after they had successfully replaced
    their damaged orb.
