Edward Scissorhands is a misunderstood soul - kind at heart and craving love but cursed with having scissors for hands after his inventor failed to give him a proper human pair. After the inventor dies and he finds himself in a tight-knit small town, he is taken in by Avon lady Peg and finds himself attracted to her daughter, Kim. Edward is finally appreciated after locals realise his talent for hedge trimming and hair cutting, but his acceptance short lived after an accident and his new found "friends" turn their back on this misfit.

I missed the first hour of this film but the last 10 minutes were very boring in my opinion.

The almost tearful Edward Scissorhands sent a shiver down your spine, just at the sight of Edward's hideous hands. Without a normal life heading his way, Edwrad is thrust into the life of a AVON representitive and her family. Rumours start spreading and Edward becomes quite the celebrity in the town and is wanted for topiary art and hairdressing for dogs and people. (What's wrong with a normal hairdresser?) But as time advances Edward starts to remeber his past and who created him and gets pulled deeper into the life of Kim, the girl he fancies.

This film is very sweet and certainly has the tear factor but I think the ending is highly disappointing and not at all what I was expecting. This is certainly a less honourable film for Johnny Depp, not compared to the likes of Pirates of the Carribean or Alice in Wonderland.

Overall I think this film is disappointing and a waste of time for Johnny Depp but it also has the reliable tear factor that every good film needs.

I thought this film was a bit boring and didn't like bits of it. but most of it. It was only a little bit interesting. I would probably not watch it again. I thought it was a bit freaky the way his hands were made out of metal and were scissors. I didn't like the look of his face I thought it looked like he was haunted.

I thought Edward scissor hands was an excellent movie. Sometimes he, Edward Scissor hands would cut peoples’ hedges and he would cut their hair. Some bits were very surprising. My favourite part was when one of the women took him into the salon and took of some of her things off. I really enjoyed the movie. I would recommend this movie to everyone. I would definitely watch it again.
