All trace of reason and logic are joyfully cast aside in this wild comedy starring the much-loved 30s comics the Marx Brothers. The story begins when the totally unqualified Rufus T Firefly becomes dictator of the shambolic country of Freedonia, and is soon involved in a senseless war with next-door Sylvania - but the plot is barely relevant in a film this hilarious, where all that really matters is the constant barrage of madcap jokes that stars Groucho, Harpo and Chico joyfully deliver!

    i thought duck soup was a hilarious entertaining movie filled with funny slightly weird characters some that could talk and some the didn't even say any thing but i still confused on the name duck soup (why did they call it that) so that's why id recommend this movie as a 5 star.

    The film was very good and funny the.It was very funny when all the animals where running to help. Thatis why i gave it 5 stars.ITwas the best film ever!!!

    There was alot I liked about this film. Firstly, I thought Rufus T. Firefly was an entertaining character and I found his moustache very funny. However, because the film was made in America in 1933, I found it difficult to understand it and relate to.
    This was the first black and white film I have seen and I think it would have been more interesting if it was in colour.
    Although this film had alot of funny scenes, I don't think I would watch it again.
