Another First World War tale from War Horse author Michael Morpurgo, this gut-wrenching drama focuses on two brothers, Tommo and Charlie Peaceful and their journey from the idyllic English countryside to the hell of no-man’s-land. There is a terrible injustice at the heart of this story which has haunted many families in real life: the execution of soldiers for cowardice. This makes for gripping viewing and carries a genuine emotional impact – you’ll want to know more about this fascinating and tragic issue.

I found this film really heartfelt and thoughtful. Although I did sometimes get confused with which actor played which brother, I definitely recommend this film. I don't normally watch films like this, however I'm really glad I did :-)

My opinion of this film is that it is slightly confusing as it flicks from when they are in the war and before the war; also in the film I lost track of which actor was playing Tommo and which actor was playing Charlie. This is why I have rated this film 3 stars.

This film is a beautiful portrayal of the book. It follows two brothers from England which provides a convincing insight into the lives of young men in World War 1 at home and at war. Tear-jerking.

To me the movie is ok. Though the start its quite slow. However when Tomo and Charlie get jobs you have no idea whats going on. One minute they are friends the next they are fighting! Throughout the film there is some funny, parts some sad, and some moving scenes. At the end of the film the cliff hanger came too fast. First the sergeant like Charlie, then he doesn't, then he likes him again for saving his life, then kills him. Overall the file does give you an idea of the war and is slowly moving.

This film showed you what it was like to have a brother, and to be a brother .It showed you how these two brothers had a special bond and how they were there for each other through the good times and the bad.It was a relatively good movie and i wouldn't mind watching it again and although this is a war movie it didn't really show too much about the war. I liked this movie though.
