I am writing to review the film Way Out West, by Laurel and Hardy. Way Out West (1937) is a brilliant Laurel and Hardy comedy film and is their only western spoof. The comedy is extraordinary and this was the first Laurel and Hardy film I have watched. It is pretty easy to see why these comedians became so well loved during their own lifetime and it could be argued that they are even more popular after death! I was amazed by the naive stupidity of the duo, I thought Laurel was the simplest and cried with laughter at him! These films are great and families will love them. If you are into Laurel and Hardy, you could go and visit their museum in Ulverston, which is were the late Stan Laurel was Born.

To be able to see the very heart of a poignant tale through friendship on screen is only accomplished when you have a friendship that can be remembered and loved. This is the case with Goodbye Solo, the tale of an odd friendship between a young, aspirational man who has goals he wants to achieve in life and a man who has lived life of regrets. Their differences may be in the forefront but the tender humanity shown on screen overpowers it all. I can safley say that i have seen the over-rated story of friendship a few number of times. It's usually a pretty cheesy, unrealistic portrayal of such an important relationship, but 'goodbye Solo' takes friendship to it's raw basics. This film is definitely not the stereo typical happy-go-lucky kind of thing you usually see on screen. It shows the struggle of friendship as well as how friendship, no matter how odd, can lead a person to care for the other, no matter what circumstances are put in front of them. A Skilfully created film that can be loved and remembered by all.

This film is really funny. When we found out that this film was an older film many people thought it was going to be boring. I was really surprised. Inspector Clueso really made me laugh and the storyline made my sides ache. When we watched it the room was filled with laughter. Peter Sellers is a really cool and funny man and he is perfect for the part he played. Pink Panther Strikes Again is a great film to watch at Filmclub because everybody is screeching with laughter within minutes of the titles first appearing on screen.

The Straight story is a brilliant, emmotive tale following a period in the life of Alvin Straight, who is an elderly man who has only his daughter. When he finds out his brother who he has not spoken to for 10 years has had a stroke, he decides to make the long, gruelling journey alone across hundreds of miles alone to make peace with his brother. He has poor eyesight and little movement in his body, without a drivers licence he makes his way on the only transport available to him, a lawnmower. But will Alvin make it to his brother before it is to late?
After reading the back of the case, it was a head in hands moment, did not like the concept, never heard of the actors and actresses, but it was one of the best David Lynch films that I have ever seen. The way that they turn a frankly tedious storyline into a genius piece of film that I would only recommend to people who aren't after action or comedy, but a mix of emmotion and drama. The acting was the best I have seen in years, especially from Richard Farsnsworth, who up until this film I had never heard of but gave a convincing and emmotive performance. The camera work was spectacular, also the scripts were wildly good. But I think a major factor in this film was the music, which in many parts without this it would have you bored whilst waiting for something to happen. I recently found out that I was a David Lynch fan, but this was something else, I fully recommend this to a fan of all round good films.
If you get chance to watch it then I believe you should, this is because it had me gripped even though I was convinced this was not the film for me. The film was made even more special for me when I found out the fact that the film was based upon true events and to realise how one man can give out such a lasting impact on people even after a short time after meeting them. Definitely a film that I would watch again. SUPERB 8 out of 10

I liked the film because the penguin was evil and sneeky.Gromit always is nosey and figures out all the clues. Gromit can't talk, he is a dog, so when Gromit says something Wallace has no idea what he is saying.
The cleverest thing about the movie was that the characters were made from plasticine. The animation is done by taking a series of photos and changing the figurines and objects at each frame then playing them back one after the other.

The makers of this film were on drugs. Its only redeeming quality is that it has beatles music in it but even that turned bad as it transformed into an impossibley long music video. You may think your living under a rock if you haven't seen a film with the beatles as characters but believe me it is a rock worth living under.

This is a great film, and is absolutley perfect for all ages. Younger viewers will love the funny parts and enjoy the unexpected romance that blossoms throughout the film between two of the characters. Slighty older viewers will begin to realise the references to other films within this film, and older viewers will see how many typical everyday problems such as global warming, climate change and obesity are adressed in this film.
I think this film is a great feel-good film, but I also think it tries to bundle a bit too much information into one film, so I sometimes found myself slighty dazed by everything that was going on, however, I would definitley recommend this film to anyone.

I loved the iron giant because the giant has plasma guns and everything! I loved it because it is a film of pure friendship between a human boy named Hogath and a alien robot called giant. I thaught this film would be wery bad because it was made in 1999 but it was good even though it was created 2 years before I was born. The awesome bit was when the giant risked he's life to save Hogath and his family and many other people. Thats what I would have done sacrificing my life to save loads and loads of feelings.
