Video: We were joined via Skype by director Nick Broomfield and in the studio by Michaela Alfred-Kumara from Anti-Slavery International

Profile: Nick Broomfield is one of Britain's most innovative and prolific filmmakers, making a name for himself with investigative documentaries and poignant dramas, not least Ghosts, the retelling of the true story of 23 Chinese cockle pickers killed at Morecambe Bay in 2004.

He and Michaela joined us to discuss issues of modern day slavery and answered our members' questions about Ghosts and what young people can do to help stamp out slavery for good.

Ghosts forms part of our Slavery Unlocked Topic, designed to highlight issues of modern day slavery and human trafficking. To accompany the topic we have created a free resource to help you discuss issues of slavery in the 21st century with your students, and what can be done to help combat them.
