Review of the week
(15 Sep 08 - 21 Sep 08)

Here at FILMCLUB we don't want to tell you which movies are great - we want you to tell us, and everyone else.

This weeks review of the week comes from:

Ruth from Broughton Hall High School (Aged 16)

Amelie

5 stars out of 5 15 September 2008

One of my favourite films. A funny and touching story of a quiet, almost childlike young woman who tries to help the people around her. The settings are so perfect they could be from a fairytale and the characters are completely unforgettable. Don't be put of by the fact that it's in French with subtitles!

School of Rock

15 September 2008

School of Rock is a must see film, for any music lover. Dewey Finn (jack black), a wanna be rockstar, owes his friend Ned Snheebly (Mike White) rent money. Ned is a substitute teacher and gets a call while he is out, Dewey imatates ned and goes to teach at a prestigious school to get this rent money. Whilst there Dewey finds out that the class he is teaching, are all brilliant at orchestre so Dewey turns this into a rock band. Whilst lieing Dewey gets the band into a compotition, Battle of the bands, the day before the contest the school finds out dewey is an imposter. And i wont reveal anymore, but the school is ashamed with Dewey and the class gets a new substitute, whilst Dewey skulks at home. I thoughrly enjoyed the movie with genres of Music and comedy, i would give it 4 out of 5 stars. And i am sure you will enjoy it just of much.
