Review of the week
(19 May 08 - 25 May 08)

Here at FILMCLUB we don't want to tell you which movies are great - we want you to tell us, and everyone else.

This weeks review of the week comes from:

Sam from Alsager (Aged 14)

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

5 stars out of 5 23 May 2008

What can I say? I have loved this film ever since I first saw it, and, being the best one of the trilogy (not counting the new one) it does not disappoint. The acting is superb, the script is top-notch and the chemistry between Ford and Connery on-screen is fantastic. It also has some great action scenes, despite some showing their age. Overall, it really is a brilliant film, with plenty of in-jokes and one-liners to keep you going for a long, long time. Perfect.

Other reviews this week:

Owen from The Churchill School (Aged 9)

Ratatouille

3 stars out of 5 19 May 2008

Ratatouille is a great animation film. It is funny at times and there is a good storyline. My favourite part is when there are loads of rats in the kitchen and the health inspector walks in. All the rats tie him up and lock him in a cupboard. A good film.

Owen from The Churchill School (Aged 9)

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown

4 stars out of 5 19 May 2008

Ice Age 2 Is a great film, its funny, scary and emotional. A great film for you to laugh about with your friends. My favourite character is Scrat the Sqruirl because he is a really funny character. It is sad when the animals have to leave their playing area but it is nice when Manny The Mammoth finds another one of his kind. They aventurally find love. A great film. I hope they make an Ice Age 3!

Michael from Malbank School (Aged 12)

The Simpsons Movie

5 stars out of 5 19 May 2008

The Simpsons of the TV come to life in a move with all the origanal charaters. Homer findes himself escaping from all the mess he made in Springfield and ending up in Alasker. Still there is lots of funney thing in this new destination. In the end Homer sorts out everything in his own town, Springfield. If that is not enough to show tgis film then this will. Lisa gets a Boyfriend in this movie!
