Famous for his role as Professor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films, Alan has also recently starred in the eirie thriller Perfume: The Story of a Murderer, romantic comedy Love Actually, and if you're old enough you may remember him as the brilliantly menacing Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, or Bruce Willis' nemesis, the dastardly Die Hard baddy Hans Gruber.
